I ordered KYB Shocks from this retailer based on the fact thwt they offered a $25 rebate per shock. I was given a website to go in and register the rebate online and after MORE than 3 months, still NOTHING! Tried going again on the website and it gave NO option for checkimg the status of a claim, just how to file a new one with KYB. Dont bother, Summit racing WON'T answer their phone either! Sat on hold first for 30 minutes, listened to a recording saying "due to high call volume we will answer in order. They hung up on me after 30 minutes! Called back once again, was on hold over an hour, hung up on me again! One of the worst online retailers with zero reliability!
I purchased a set of headers on their site, confirmed they would fit using the "check fit" tool. They arrived and did not fit. I was told to send them back, submit the receipt for shipping and I would be reimbursed the shipping costs along with a full refund. That is not the case. I was refunded only the purchase price. I won't do anymore business with Summit Racing and suggest others avoid them.

Purchased a rebuilt alternator for the wife's car. Summit had the best price advertised. The first one I received was damaged, obviously dropped, the manufactures box was thrashed and they sent it to me anyway. I returned it and they sent me a credit for the alternator only and not the additional $70 core charge I paid for up front. They are not upfront with their core return policy to begin with and I do not recommend them for any part that involves a core charge. They might be a good source for parts that don't require a core but I will never be using them again.
I received a defective part from Summit. I called the over two weeks ago and was told a replacement and a call tag would be shipped out immediately.
Still no part! I called today and after holding for 30 minutes and hearing the Covid blame game over and over I got to speak to someone. She stated that the credit for my original purchase wasn't moved over but now it is. I asked if she just did it since the website shows "pending" order status. She lied and said No, it was done earlier today. When a business has their employee lie to me, I am done. I had been buying from Summit for over 30 years!
I _WAS_ a Summit Racing customer, however, their customer service has gone to zero. I ordered some supplies that were "In stock. Ready to ship the same day" and it has been a week. They still have not shipped and when I enquired about cancelling the order they sent me a message saying it has shipped and sent me the tracking number as proof. Of course the tracking number they sent me shows it HAS NOT shipped. They just sent the tracking number thinking it would somehow keep me happy.
This place was good now it seems they are a business with shady practices. Is it too much to ask to just be honest with your customers?
I am never buying from them again. I will pay more for honest customer service.
I ordered some simple items, locking lug nuts and windshield wipers. Both items were indicated to fit my vehicle on the website but neither did. I will not be purchasing from Summit Racing again.
Every other order is missing parts. Spent thousands of dollars there over the past few years. They will not be getting much more business from me unless I get a huge discount.
Sold me a torque convertor that was not built properly. I live in Canada so shipping it back and having my vehicle apart for a month waiting for a replacement wasn't an option. So I brought the convertor into a shop to get it looked it. They fixed it and it cost me an additional $315CAN. I called summit and explained what happened and that it needed to be fixed, I asked for them to refund me $250US to help cover paying to get the convertor fixed (I'd still be out money paying for fuel driving 400+km to the shop and home twice) They refunded me a whole $43 US. Which is a total joke. I then filed a dispute with PayPal which summit racing denied and would not do anything to help me.
After spending thousands of dollars over the years with summit racing I will NEVER AGAIN in my life time spend another penny with them if they can't help me out when they sold me something that clearly wasn't built properly.
Shame on you summit racing. I guess you needed that $250 more than I do. Oh well, I'll happily shop else where.

Terrible tech and sales. Called to get sizing for stall converter and carb. I guess summit doesnt do that since he asked me what how much stall I wanted. I said that's why I called you. His reply was. I'm not an engine builder. Had enough at that point especially after he said there was no application for a stall for a 350 sbc to mate to a 700r4. WOW! Only gave one star since it wont let me give zero.
I've ordered here before, usually with a couple of months delivery time. With my last order they contacted me after over of month of waiting saying they couldn't get the parts. So I wasted a month on waiting for something they said they could get, locking my money during the process. Told them this was not very professional and they basically told me to go f myself.
At the time of writing, the parts they said they could not get I still have not received a refund on.
How in day and age can a large company like summit racing be so inept? Called for customer service and the lady put me on hold and never came back. Since than I have not been able to get through to customer service. Shame on me for using this shatty co. Richard in Mn.
Summit racing had great prices for the hard to find car part I was looking for.
I purchased 3 tool boxes. One shipped from Summit Racing and the other two shipped from manufacturer. With the one shipped from Summit the outer box with labels was in great shape. Upon opening item, it was damaged. Called and Andrea was super helpful and got the replacement item in mail the same day with upgraded shipping so I could receive it sooner because of the damage. The replacement item arrived before the original two from manufacturer. Upon the receipt of the two boxes from manufacturer, it was discovered that one of the two boxes was the wrong box entirely! Called again thinking it would be another easy exchange, WRONG! Chase said I had to give my credit card info again gut them to exchange it. I've already paid fir the merchandise, and THEY sent the wrong item and want to charge me again fir the item that I actually ordered and already paid for. Horrible customer service. Their "hassle free return guarantee" is empty words.
I ordered a ecm before Thanksgiving in 2020 and it is March 29 21 still no item and can not get a hold of anybody for an update won't answer phone or messenger no live chat no message BEWARE!

They are a legitimate company for all types of automotive racing equipment.

They are totally legitimate. I just spent over $1100 with them. I got my items faster than had I used another online site and I saved over $500 than had I had the local repair shop order the items locally. Everything shipped within 24 hours.
